Verify that your MD-Series PTO Driver has the required safety Conversion Kit installed. Operating without this kit can lead to severe injury. If you have never purchased this kit, you must install it before using your driver again.
Who Needs a Conversion Kit?
Fireplug Style Gearbox
Drivers with a fireplug‑style gearbox require a PTO Conversion Kit to upgrade to a fully guarded driveline and Driver Weight Guard.
Unguarded PTO Shaft
If your PTO shaft is yellow or black metal (unguarded), you need a conversion kit.
Determine the Conversion Kit You Need
Measure from the tractor PTO to the digger’s input shaft, then subtract 6‑1/2 inches.
Match your final number to the correct kit below.
Kit 3209
Long Driveline Kit
✓ After subtracting 6‑1/2″, your measurement falls above 11‑3/8″ and up to 14‑3/4″
Kit 3210
Medium Driveline Kit
✓ After subtracting 6‑1/2″, your measurement is between 9‑3/8″ and 11‑3/8″
Kit 3211
Short Driveline Kit
✓ After subtracting 6‑1/2″, your measurement is 9‑3/8″ or less
